Resources for BrainJamming
This is the place where all your hard work comes together for the benefit of the entire community of unconference organizers. One of the most difficult things we face in pulling off events is locating these key logistical ingredients that make the day so much better.
We have set up this Drupal site so that our collective hard work can pave the way for making it easier for our peers who follow in our footsteps. While we are firm believers in free tagging and folksonomies, there are certain key types of resources that are needed for most events. You can contribute to this directory in one of 3 ways - you don't need to be a member here to do so, but you will have a bigger impact if you are.

- BrainJams site blog entry.
When creating blog posts, there is a category called resources on the blog entry form where you can select one of the main types of resources. These will somehow be picked up (still figuring out some Drupal nuances) and made available through the Resource 'Book' pages - BrainJams Resource Book Page Edits
Book pages are like Wiki pages. Any member of the community can directly edit these pages adding in resources that may be useful to others. - Use the BrainJams Tagspaces on Delicious or other sites
The tagspaces we have reserved for this are pretty straightforward - if you tag Web pages with any of the tagspaces below, someone will pick them up and include them here in the Resource Directory.
- Audio/Video Equipment - BrainJams:AV
- Best Practices - BrainJams:bestpractices
- Computer Equipment - BrainJams:computer
- Facilitators - BrainJams:facilitator
- Formats - BrainJams:format
- Food Sources - BrainJams:food
- Internet Access - BrainJams:access
- Sponsors - BrainJams:sponsor
- Venues - BrainJams:venue
- Volunteers - BrainJams:volunteer
We are still working through these top level buckets, but based on our experience, these are the key ingredients necessary to pull off BrainJams as community events. Of course, you don't absolutely need sponsors, computers or Internet access, but for the full benefits to be realized, we think these items are most helpful.
